Deployment

You have five different options based on the type of application you've created and the 4D deployment tool you've chosen:

4D Server Share your application, whether interpreted or compiled, on your network instantly by opening it with 4D Server. Hundreds of users can be connected at the same time, and that's not counting additional Web or Web Services connections, nor external SQL access. All you need to do is install the 4D application on the client end - nothing else. The client licenses will be automatically used on the server.
4D Interpreted Desktop Freely distribute your standalone interpreted databases at the same time as your 4D application. Without a licence, your users will still have access to all functions you have programmed under runtime mode with 4D Interpreted Desktop.
4D Unlimited Desktop or 4D OEM Desktop Generate a double-clickable standalone application and distribute it freely with 4D Unlimited Desktop or, if you are an ISV, your specific distribution and configuration needs can be met with 4D OEM Desktop.
4D SQL Desktop Generate a compiled version of your application and distribute it with 4D SQL Desktop to acquire an individual application with advanced connectivity functions at a lower cost.
4D Web Application Server Deploy your solution on the internet or an intranet with 4D Web Application Server, with the additional option of Web Services.
